The GeoRAD Academy Difference

Traditional training drops you straight into theory and software menus at the beginning. That approach is often confusing and has little impact in the end. At GeoRAD Academy, we break down the GIS universe conceptually first. You will master data flows, information visualization strategies, and spatial logic before you ever install a piece of software. We don't just train software operators; we build elite spatial data professionals.

What Makes This Program Unique?

  • Strictly 1-on-1 Private Mentorship

No crowded classrooms. You get a dedicated, live 2-hour session every week with a practicing and seasoned GeoRAD Lab GIS expert to guide your learning and resolve data bottlenecks in real time.

  • Free 3-Month Internship with GeoRAD Lab

After you graduate from the 12-week mentorship, you join a 3-month remote internship with GeoRAD Lab. Collaborate with our project team on actual commercial and environmental datasets to build verified industry experience.

  • Exclusive Curated Training Packages

Receive lifetime access to GeoRAD Lab template files, sample corporate database architectures, spatial reporting checklists, and pre-packaged global datasets to kickstart your project workflows.

  • Exclusive Proprietary Analytical Tools

As a product-based geospatial software company, we don't just use off-the-shelf software. You get exclusive access to GeoRAD Lab's proprietary analytical tools and custom plugins, engineered to handle complex geospatial analysis better and faster.

  • Lifetime Alumni Slack Access

Continuous professional guidance through our exclusive community channel: project feedback, workflow troubleshooting, and global career opportunities.

The 12-Week Structural Breakdown

Syllabus

Phase 1: Modern Spatial Logic & Cloud Orchestration (Weeks 1–6)

  1. Week 1

    The Automation Paradigm Shift

Move from manual desktop clicking to building scalable data pipelines. Learn how global firms use code and cloud infrastructure to process millions of spatial records instantly.

  2. Week 2

    Advanced Python for Spatial Data

Master core programming logic, loops, and data structures. Learn to read, clean, and filter tabular geographic attributes without opening a desktop interface.

  3. Week 3

Open-Source Vector Engineering (Geopandas & Shapely)

Ditch slow desktop tools. Learn to programmatically execute spatial queries, calculate proximity buffers, and join massive datasets using code.

  4. Week 4

    Planetary-Scale Satellite Analytics (GEE)

Process multi-terabyte satellite imagery. Write scripts to automate pixel-band calculations (NDVI), change detection, and environmental tracking via Google Earth Engine.

  5. Week 5

    Cloud Storage & Coordinate Engineering

Stream layers directly from the cloud. Learn to store geospatial data in Google Cloud Storage (GCS) buckets while programmatically debugging and transforming Coordinate Reference Systems (CRS).

  6. Week 6

API Data Harvesting & Public Registries

Automate your data sourcing. Build scripts to scrape, pull, and integrate real-time demographic and geographic data directly from global public APIs.

Phase 2: Enterprise Deployment, Plugins & LLM Orchestration (Weeks 7–12)

  1. Week 7

Desktop Scripting Mastery (ArcPy & PyQGIS)

Bridge the gap to desktop environments. Write professional-grade Python scripts to automate map layouts, batch-export datasets, and control ArcGIS Pro and QGIS via code.

  2. Week 8

Custom Desktop Tool & Plugin Development

Turn your scripts into software. Build functional, reusable UI tools for ArcToolbox and native Python plugins for the QGIS ecosystem.

  3. Week 9

BigQuery GIS & Cloud Data Warehousing

Move beyond local databases. Learn how to write lightning-fast spatial SQL queries on massive datasets using Google BigQuery GIS and optimize cloud data structures.

  4. Week 10

    AI & LLM-Powered Spatial Orchestration

Leverage modern AI for geospatial work. Learn how to securely use Vertex AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate, debug, and orchestrate complex spatial Python workflows.

  5. Week 11

    Serverless Production Pipelines (Cloud Functions)

Deploy automation that runs itself. Learn how to write serverless scripts using Google Cloud Functions triggered by raw data uploads, manage environments, and push to GitHub.

  6. Week 12

    The Cloud Spatial Engineering Capstone

Build and deploy an end-to-end automated pipeline: ingest raw data into GCS, process it via BigQuery/GEE, orchestrate it with AI, and output an analytical product, followed by your final exam.

Graduation & Internship Requirements

To maintain the high standards of GeoRAD Academy and qualify for your verified certificate and the subsequent free 3-month optional internship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • 80% Live Class Attendance

You must attend at least 10 out of the 12 live, 1-on-1 weekend mentorship sessions.

  • Weekly Assignment Completion

Every week's practical workflow task must be completed and submitted to your mentor for professional review.

  • Final Professional Assessment

Pass the comprehensive final project review and executive presentation exam at Week 12.
