Emerging Spatial Professionals Mentorship: Application

A 6-week, 100% free mentorship and practical development program for penultimate and final-year students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals in GIS, Geoinformatics, Geography, and related spatial disciplines. Open to participants globally. Fields marked with * are required.

Applications for the Emerging Spatial Professionals Mentorship Program are now open for Cohort 2 (starts to be communicated soon). Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Each cohort is limited to 30 participants.

Applicants should have a background or current academic or professional involvement in a spatial discipline or related field. Where applicable, matriculation and/or NYSC Call-Up numbers may be verified as part of selection.

Section 5: Technical sprint platform

Technical Sprint Platform Access

The mentorship program itself is 100% free. However, participants will use a dedicated cloud-based technical environment during the program. The platform has been configured with curated datasets, development resources and custom spatial tools required for the technical sprints.

Participants will be responsible for a one-time platform access cost of up to ₦5,000 after the first mentorship session, before the technical sprints begin. This is not a tuition or mentorship fee and is paid only for access to the technical environment used during the practical sessions.
